Holiday Luxe...

Monday, November 25, 2013

The Holidays are here, personally my favorite time of the year and one of my busiest. Deciding what colors to use for both myself and my clients is always fun and I try to always think outside the norm, of course not that there's anything wrong with traditional, I love that too...

Be brave with color...

Think outside the box...

Look at things with a different perspective...

Use things you already own in a different way...

Decorate those walls...

Fun with gazing balls & a little faux fur...

Minimilist can be luxurious too...

Decorate with festive art...

I never say no to a deer head...

And don't forget the outside...

I do this every year, my guests grab ornaments as they enter...
But whatever you do this holiday season, be safe, be happy, be kind & enjoy...

Midcentury Obsession...

Tuesday, August 20, 2013

One day my dream of moving to Palm Springs and owning a Midcentury modern home will be realized, but until then my "ideas for the dessert" folder is growing. One of my newest finds is FIREORB this is numero uno on my list of must haves...

My rough plan for the space...
As you can see in my design plan, my other must have... The Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair which I am constantly obsessing over.

Today I'm thankful...

Friday, August 16, 2013

The past week has been crazy, and boy have I been tested... In saying that I'm thankful for my wonderful life and the people that are in it, both personally and professionally I'm blessed and I'm reminded of that every day.
Wishing you all happiness always and have a fantastic weekend...

Working in "Hollywoodland"...

Wednesday, August 7, 2013

First of all let me start by apologizing for being tardy with my blogging, I've been so busy with work, I'm definitely not complaining... One of my projects that I'm really excited about is this Hollywood Hills Spanish Charmer, we are bringing this one back to life both inside and out, and I can't wait for this star to shine, and make it's Hollywood debut.
The Inspiration....

My design plan for the exterior...

Outdoor awning stripe pillows...

Iron furnishings...

The classic potted Cyprus...

Hollywoodland as it was in 1925...

Beachwood Canyon circa 1922...

As it is today...

Watch for this "Coming Attraction" to make it's Hollywood debut....

Staging @ the beach...

Friday, July 19, 2013

Last week I was asked to stage a beautiful home that's going up for sale in Marina Del Rey, flanked on one side by the ocean and the other by the canal, the minute I stepped inside I knew it lent itself to a slightly mid-century vibe.
So off I went back to my office and started to plan the design...

The stunning views...
My Inspiration was this amazing piece of art that I'm obsessing over from West elm, very Franz  Kline

It took one day to transform this empty space and give it an identity, and if I've got to work I couldn't have asked for a better environment to work in, surrounded by amazing views and cooled by ocean breezes, I'll buy it...

Living Room after...

And of course that art...

The end of a long but fulfilling day...
Amen...
